Matt Baker

Chief of Staff

Matt joined Valor Equity Partners in 2021 as a Vice President, after 18 years of service at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Currently, Matt serves as Chief of Staff to Antonio Gracias. In this role, Matt works closely with Antonio and other senior members of the Firm on strategic initiatives, special projects, and business activities.

Prior to Valor, Matt held senior executive positions at the CIA, and served in numerous leadership roles across the globe. Matt led initiatives resulting in both innovation and strategic change at the organization, while leading teams globally. Most recently, he served as an executive leader for the CIA’s worldwide protective operations programs. Matt is formerly a Special Agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Matt is a graduate of Michigan State University, where he earned his Master of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees.
