Chris Hermenitt

Director

Chris joined Valor in 2024 and serves as a Director on the Scale Group Team. His responsibilities include providing technical consulting on Quality Management System (QMS) execution and support for operational improvements at Valor portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Valor Chris held various Quality Management roles across a 25 year manufacturing career. His experience spans industries such as defense (Anduril), chemicals (Henkel/Loctite), and automotive (Tenneco). He has performed dozens of QMS audits around the world and has built QMSs at both the local and global levels. He has extensive international management experience and lived in Japan and China for seven years.

Chris is a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), a Practitioner in the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI), and a member of the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS). He is a voting member of the United States Technical Advisory Groups to ISO/TC 176 and ISO/PC 302, the teams that write QMS standards like ISO 9001 and ISO 19011. He has lectured on Quality Management in a variety of venues, including Arizona State University and the East China University of Science and Technology.

Chris earned an M.S. in Engineering Management and a Graduate Certificate in Quality Management from Eastern Michigan University, where he graduated Phi Kappa Phi. He has a B.A. in Management and Organizational Development from Spring Arbor University.
