Rachel Essel

Senior Research Analyst

Rachel joined Valor in 2022 as a Senior Research Analyst on the Research Team.

Prior to joining Valor, Rachel was a Senior Research Analyst at the Boston Consulting Group (“BCG”) in the firm's Boston and Chicago offices. In this role, Rachel provided insights across a range of topics. Rachel led cross-functional knowledge sharing efforts and helped develop BCG's perspectives on the global industrial goods sector alongside senior leaders and stakeholders.

Rachel earned a B.A. in International Affairs and Economics with a minor in Business Administration from Northeastern University. At Northeastern, Rachel completed three co-ops as an International Trade Assistant at the Embassy of the United States of America in Ghana, a Merchandizing Analyst at Wayfair, and an Administrative Assistant at the Economic Club of Washington, D.C. She is currently completing her M.A. in Public Policy at the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy.
