Opportunity: Climate change poses a significant risk and companies are facing increasing pressure from regulators, investors, customers, and employees to respond to the climate crisis and showcase organizational responsibility. These companies often turn to the Voluntary Carbon Markets (VCMs) to reduce their emissions, even though offsets do not always result in a demonstrated reduction in emissions or benefits to the environment. Climate Vault is an alternative to traditional VCMs by leveraging government-regulated Compliance Carbon Markets to power its data-driven carbon reduction, removal, and measurement solutions.
Vision: Climate Vault is a climate solutions provider that offers an integrated reduction and removal program, in addition to data-centric solutions to measure and report operational carbon footprints. It leverages government-regulated Compliance Carbon Markets (CCMs) to knock out carbon in days, not decades so the impact is verifiable, auditable, and quantifiable. Every permit purchased through a CCM is equivalent to one metric ton of CO2 being kept out of the atmosphere. Climate Vault also supports carbon dioxide removal (CDR) innovation by assessing CDR opportunities through a panel of experts on its Tech Chamber and providing grants to approved CDR companies upon demonstration of carbon removal. In addition to the core emissions calculations and neutralization purchases, Climate Vault has the potential to monetize its CDR project pipeline through research, data feeds, and technology integrations.
