Alex joined Valor in 2015. Alex is primarily responsible for supporting the Firm’s capital raise and client service functions, as well as due diligence of potential acquisitions and industry research.
Prior to joining Valor, Alex was an Associate at Guild Capital, where he served as the Chief Marketing Officer for Techweek, a leading technology conference with events across the United States. As CMO, he oversaw initiatives including website redesign and optimization, public relations, media buying, content marketing, and social media. Alex also spent time managing Techweek’s sales function and led its market entry into Miami. Previously, Alex was an Associate Consultant with Bain & Company working in Johannesburg and Chicago. At Bain, he served clients in the mining and insurance industries, with experience including operational efficiency, portfolio analysis, pricing strategy, and strategy support.
Alex holds a M.Sc. in Financial Economics from the University of Oxford and a B.S.F.S. in International Economics, summa cum laude, from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. In 2010, he was the recipient of the Allbritton Scholarship to attend the University of Oxford.
